The team here at Pro Event would like to say a huge Well Done to all of the dancers that took part in our Join the Momentum Activity last Saturday at Kingston Park, Newcastle.
3 groups came together for the very first time and were taught choreography by Dance Leaders Chloe and Tori. With just 90 minutes to learn and rehearse – the young people from across Newcastle had to work hard and keep their nerves under control!
The Rugby League Rockettes were also busy at the stadium, not least our very own Megan who had the huge task of singing the National Anthems pre-match to the Toronto vs Widnes game.
The Rugby League Rockettes joined the cast of 40 Join the Momentum Dancers at half time of the Newcastle Thunder v Doncaster game and the reaction from the crowd was fantastic!
Sarah Elston said “It’s so wonderful that clubs offer these kind of opportunities to young people. For 40 young people to come together, learn a routine in 90 minutes to perform on pitch that same day – it takes a lot of focus and for that we are really proud of everyone that took part. We’d like to say a special Thank You to Jordan Robinson at Newcastle Thunder for inviting Join the Momentum to be a part of the match day. Jill Errington School of Dance and Activate Theatre and Dr Thomlinson C of E Middle School for travelling all the way from Morpeth to take part. More than 40 parents joined us on the day too – for many it was their first taste of Rugby League – what a great game to start with!
